At Intersnack Group, we believe that real change happens when partners across a value chain come together with shared commitment and practical solutions.
Today the peanut sector in Argentina, the most important supplier of peanuts to the European market, is facing increasing pressure from climate change, soil degradation and the growing need for credible Scope 3 data. These challenges require co-ordinated, sector wide action. That is why we are proud to play a founding role in the Regenerative Landscapes Partnership: The Argentina Peanuts Project, a three-year collaboration led by SAI Platform.
Together with our peers Ferrero, Importaco, Lorenz, Mars and PIP & NUT, and in strong collaboration with Fundación Mani Argentino, The Peanut Chamber, local suppliers, and implementation partners GapGreen, iPuma and SoilCapital, we are working to support farmers to adopt regenerative practices that strengthen soil health, improve climate resilience and generate independently verified, science-based data for sustainability reporting.
This project aligns closely with Intersnack’s Sustainable Agriculture Framework, which focuses on advancing regenerative farming, reducing climate impacts and building long term resilience in the landscapes where our raw materials are grown. By investing jointly in practical farm level solutions - such as service crops and reduced tillage — we aim to help secure the future of peanut production whilst supporting communities and ecosystems.
A concise Regenerative Peanut Production Rulebook will also be developed with technical partners to help bring greater alignment across the sector- creating a foundation that can scale in the future well beyond this initial collaboration.
We are committed to working with our partners to help build a more resilient, climate smart and regenerative future for Argentina’s peanut landscape, creating positive impact, snack by snack, or peanut by peanut.
