Real targets, real change, real impact
The global food supply chain is responsible for approximately 30% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, while being simultaneously threatened by climate change impacts. Businesses like ours need to step up, reduce our impact and make significant changes to lower our CO2e output.
How are we addressing this?
We want to create positive impact snack by snack. That’s why we have committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) – a global coalition of 5,000+ organisations, utilising a common methodology to set targets as we all work to limit global warming to 1.5°C, critical to avoiding the worst effects of climate change.
What happens next?
We are now developing our absolute emissions reduction targets to have these validated by SBTi’s team of experts to ensure they align with the latest climate science. Following this, we will communicate with stakeholders and begin sharing our progress towards reaching these targets on an annual basis.
