Intersnack Group

Intersnack

climate targets

officially approved

We are proud to be part of the industry movement and the ambition to limit global warming to 1.5°C.

Real targets, real change, real impact

The global food supply chain is responsible for approximately 30% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, while being simultaneously threatened by climate change impacts. Businesses like ours need to step up, reduce our impact and make significant changes to lower our CO2e output.

How are we addressing this?

We want to create positive impact snack by snack. That’s why we have signed up to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This external commitment sets us a target to halve CO2e emissions in our own operations and to reduce emissions in our value chain by one third within the next 10 years – in line with the decarbonisation required to meet the goals of the United Nations Paris Agreement.

The SBTi has reviewed and approved these targets, and Intersnack appears on its website under the page Companies Taking Action

Reducing

our carbon footprint - snack by snack

Intersnack has committed to the following targets (2032 versus 2021), which are in line with latest climate science:

2023 marked the start of Intersnack’s SBTi journey.

Our SBTi targets encourage us to keep exploring new ways to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions, while extending our actions into our supply chain to address our Scope 3 footprint.

Achieving lasting progress requires action from the entire Intersnack Group.

That is why our dedicated working groups connect globally and locally to leverage insights, enhance collective learning and implement reduction initiatives.
